Dr Peter Merry is a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Norfolk & Norwich University Teaching Hospital (appointed 1991). He is an experienced Rheumatologist with expertise in all branches of Rheumatology. He qualified in 1981 at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, London University.

His specialist training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine was obtained in London at St Mary's Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, St George's Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital and The Royal London Hospital.

Dr Peter Merry has particular interest in spinal conditions (including back pain and sciatica), inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, soft tissue conditions / sports injuries and degenerative osteoarthritis.

Standards of care

Dr Peter Merry is committed to providing a first class professional service to his patients. The most important aspect of management is the correct diagnosis, providing the platform for an effective management plan. Patients are given as much time as necessary to discuss their problems and concerns in a pleasant and unrushed enviroment.

Patients can be given appointments within 24 hours of referral if required, and in addition have access to Dr Merry at all times. Dr Merry takes referrals from GP's, physiotherapists or self referral.
